Youth Volunteer Award Press Release
Youth that volunteer have a HUGE impact in our communities and because of this Community Futures Parkland is showing their appreciation!
Do you know a young person, 18 or under, who is enrolled in a Parkland school that gives time to their community to make it a better place to live? Maybe that person is you, your best-friend, a student from another class or a person “who is always there” when you or community need something done.
The CF Parkland Youth Volunteer Initiative is a project created by Community Futures volunteer Board of Directors to recognize and support all the great work that our youth have done in the Parkland region.
A VOLUNTEER is a person who freely offers to do something or a person who works for organizations without being paid. The young person who displays the most commitment to community life in the Parkland will receive a Notebook PC with Microsoft Office while four other Parkland youth will each receive an award.
Community Futures Volunteer committee will select the Youth Volunteer of 2012 during Manitoba’s Volunteer Week, April 15 – 21th, 2012.
Nomination forms may be downloaded here or call 546-5100 to get an application sent to you. Community Futures Parkland believes strongly in this initiative and looks forward to hearing from you!
The deadline for applications is Monday, March 26th, 2012.
