The
2011 CF Parkland
Volunteer Recognition Initiative is set up for you to
nominate whom you think has gone above and beyond in committing their
time, skills and energy to their community. CF Parkland will then be
handing out 5 awards that total $ 1500.00. Each award is valued at
$300.00 and CF Parkland gives the funding to the recipients so they can
donate the $300.00 to a community project or charity of their choice.
The funding is provided by CF Parkland.

The
CF Parkland’s Youth
Volunteer of 2011 is a brand-new program
and was created by
Community Futures Parkland’s volunteer Board of Directors to show their
appreciation to youth (18 and under, enrolled in school) who volunteer
for their school and community. The award is set up for you to
nominate a student who has gone above and beyond in committing their
time, skills and energy to their community. CF Parkland realizes that
volunteerism is a skill that needs to be developed and encouraged. One
outstanding student will receive a Acer Asper One 8.9” and four others
will each be given a Nintendo DS, all compliments of CF Parkland.

The deadline for all nominations for both
programs is Friday, April 8, 2011. Any questions just e-mail or call CF
Parkland.
If you ever hear someone say that volunteerism
isn’t really that important, just gently remind them that volunteerism
contributes $57 billion annually to Canada’s GDP .
