About Community Futures Parkland
Community
Futures Parkland Inc. is a federally funded regional community
economic development program.
Community Futures Parkland works with the communities of the
Parkland in an attempt to achieve a cooperative environment within
the region. This environment promotes leadership and supports
individuals, businesses, organizations and communities through a
coordinated strategic plan. It promotes economic growth, stability,
business development, employment creation, a positive
entrepreneurial environment and enhances quality of life. The
program is locally controlled and delivered by a volunteer board of
citizens from the Parkland.
Community Development Committee Mission Statement
“To work cooperatively within the Parkland by
promoting leadership and providing support to individuals, organizations and
communities and to build regional capacity which promotes economic growth,
stability and a positive entrepreneurial environment thereby enhancing quality
of life.”
Business Development Committee Mission Statement
“The pursuit and creation of employment and
economic development opportunities and to support and assist business
development in the Parkland by providing technical and financial support,
research and information, and entrepreneurial assistance.”
Our Goal
The principal goals and objectives of Parkland
Community Futures focus on two key aspects: Community Development and Business
Development
towards the overall vision of promoting a cooperative environment within the
Parkland resulting in economic growth, employment and enhanced quality of life
